Who is responsible for your data
The data controller (titolare del trattamento) for this site is A. Hossain, an individual resident in the province of Rome, Italy, contactable at [email protected].
PathItalia is run by one person, not a company. If you need my full legal name and address — for example to exercise your rights formally, or to make a complaint to the supervisory authority — write to the address above and I will provide them.
What we collect
If you do nothing but read
Nothing that identifies you. This site sets no cookies at all. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address transiently in order to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse — this is a legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and the data is not used to profile you.
If you subscribe to the newsletter
The newsletter is not running yet. This section describes how it will work, and will be updated with the exact processors before any signup form is switched on.
We will store your email address, the language you subscribed from, and the date. That is all. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us.
We do not sell, rent or share your email address with anyone.
If you use the study tools
Your progress is stored only in your own browser, in localStorage, under a
single key named pathitalia.v1. It records which questions you have seen,
which you answered wrongly, where you stopped in each chapter, your past exam-simulation
results and your display preferences. It never leaves your device. There
is no account and no copy on our side — we cannot see it, and it contains nothing that
identifies you.
It is written from the moment you start using a tool, without a separate consent prompt, because it is strictly necessary to provide the tool you asked for: a study tool that cannot remember where you stopped does not work. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it. The complete list of what this site stores is in the cookie policy.
Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, your message and — only if you choose to give it — your phone number. We use them for one purpose: to reply to you. The form sends them to our own inbox by email through Cloudflare, which already runs this site. Nothing is stored on the site, in a database or in your browser, and the form sets no cookies. We keep the email only as long as the conversation needs it, and no longer than 12 months after our last reply. You can ask us to delete it at any time: [email protected].
Affiliate links and the networks we work with
Networks and programmes currently in use: none. PathItalia is not part of any affiliate programme and there are no affiliate links on the site.
If that changes, every network will be named here, along with what data it receives, before the first link goes live. This is how such a link works: when you click one, the destination site and its affiliate network may set cookies or use similar identifiers to record that you arrived from PathItalia, so that a commission can be attributed. We would receive only aggregate reporting — never your name, email or payment details.
What we never do
- We never collect your personal data in order to pass it to an insurance company, insurance intermediary or lender. In those areas we only link out; everything transactional happens on the other company's own site under their own licence.
- We never sell personal data.
- We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
How long we keep things
Messages sent through the contact form: as long as the conversation needs, and no longer than 12 months after our last reply. Newsletter data, once the newsletter runs: until you unsubscribe, plus a short record of the unsubscribe itself so we do not email you again. Server logs: as retained by Cloudflare under their own policy.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month.
If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully you can complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Changes
When this policy changes materially we update the date at the top and, if you are a subscriber, tell you by email.
